I have an unlocked GSM phone and want a prepaid sim to use over here in the US, so if I go home to the UK I can just swap it for a prepaid sim over there. I've been searching a few of the network providers here but can't find a f-in thing about it. Any ideas?

Erm... simple version... any decent prepaid sim only accounts here in the US?

OK, maybe Google is my friend. Why didn't I think of that before?

T-Mobile does SIM-only pre-paid. must be others..

I find it weird how I can't find any info on the T-mobile website... I find most of the carrier sites here are shitty to navigate.
I'm glad Verizon don't do them though... my wife just bought a V3c for certain features only to find out Verizon locked them all up so you have to pay for them. Then they offer a software update that actually deletes features from the phone... great.

I mean I can find info about prepaid sims, I'm just not able to buy ONLY a prepaid sim for the phone I already have.
I've found them elsewhere on the net to buy though, just makes me wonder whether they're legit.

i don't have a prepaid sim but with my unlocked gsm phone, i go to UK and just pick up their T-Mobile service with my US sim. i have my international call enabled on my service. i probably paid international fee but i was too lazy to find pre-paid simcard.

I got SIM-only by walking into a T-Mobile store and asking them..

they give you the phone for free anyway, they're happy to just not give it to you
