I'm thinking PMN Caecilia with either Myriad Pro or Univers.
What do you think? any other suggestions?
I would prefer to use ff meta but I don't have that one

I think Univers would be nice...
What kinda feel and/or audience are you going for here though?

It's a staffing firm, I want it to be friendly but also appeal to executive types.

how about TheSans and TheSerif?

ill second univers

I like theSans but I don't have that one. So it's out of the running

myriad's much more similar to caecilia than univers. i'd go with that.

I'd say use Caecilia everywhere
use all the various weights: like ligth for text & bold or heavy for headlines
Univers is a gothic & Caecilia is a humanist with block serifs...could look odd together.

I've always liked Bodoni and Univers for serif and non serif pairs.

Bodoni doesn't work for most text settings IMO. Too much contrast, the thin strokes practically disappear if you set it below 12 point.
Now if you have Bodoni headlines with Univers paragraphs, that'd be a beaut.

off topic, but I want: http://www.needled.com/archives/…

Caecilia will be used most often for body copy and headlines etc... but whatever I choose for the sans serif will be used occasionally to change it up and variation (small descriptions, services, etc...)
The more I look at myriad the more I think it's a bit to feminine. I guess that goes with most humanist faces

bodoni has versions specifically for small sizes. Rand said so

that was htf didot I was talking about, but maybe ITC bodoni has something like this?

If you want to use Meta, why not use the Officina family? Both are beautiful Spiekermann fonts and Officina Sans and Serif will pair perfectly! ;)

i would go and misquote rand wouldn't I?
