seems like the same old bunch of speakers to me.
nothing new or intersting.is that really the future of web design? drag up the same old same old?
is there no design outside of the US or UK?

i think 60 quid for that collection of speakers is pretty good. these things are usually total rip offs but i decided to go to this for price/people/talk reasons.
i dont really see this as the future of web design talk, per se - more the chance to hear from some interesting individuals on what their opinion is.

it does look like a good event for the money, i have to say.
however, im with digilee, it does seem to be the same old speakers though.
speakers from 'cool' companies in london, NY etc that GET to do 'cool' work from 'cool' clients with unlimited budgets. so its no wonder the work that they knock out with their teams is so 'cool'.
their design work maybe quality (as i hope it would be from all mentioned above), but what makes their 'inspiration' , 'advice' . 'best practice' and work ethics any better than any of us lots? or anyone in your studio with more experience than you?LETS START A F*CKING RIOT...

i'd say there is a broad spectrum of people there, and I don't think there is an endless stream of money from these clients.

there IS a broad spectrum of talkers there. id be interested in hearing the flickr lass. ive seen some of them talk before.
Joshua is a good talker, seen him years ago at dreamless and flashforward in london.i wasnt meaning that post to slate these people, more to look at what you do yourself and what your peers do - its the same as these people on these pedestals.
if i was down london then id be going along as its cheap and well worth the dosh.
but cos im in edinburgh id be talking about £400 by the time id got down there and got a hotel booked etc
