can anyone recommend a nice rigid and straight cut of didiot. I have one which i dont really like as the cap R bulges up and it looks quite different to other cuts i have seen.

which foundry is yours by? I have an Adobe Systems version which looks ok to me.

not sure, it's copyrighted by Linotype and Adobe systems.

when i preview it on foundrys websites, some of the edges look different. But maybe thats just the previews. I have seen it used also with thinner serifs.....but maybe this is all customised.

the 2 most used versions I believe are Linotype Didot and HTF Didot. HTF Didot seems quirkier, less "sanitized" to me, and includes versions for different point sizes, so that the serifs can be thinner at large sizes
