Hey kids, keen for a damn big festival this year and done the whole glasto / V and leeds thing before. Anyone been to this one though??
- paraselene0

some friends of mine went last year and had a really good time...its growing every year as is Valencia.
- kelpie0
go to Exit in Serbia.

No listings yet. I am guessing as per Glasto you buy tkts on the proviso that there will be some wicked bands set to quell your appetite. So was it worth a journey too? I am divided as this will be the last year I do the whole festival thing and have a crew of kids that want to do glasto one last time, though I am swayed by the sun, sand and Spanish culture (culture in the very broadest sense due to festival situation) but just want something a little different and slightly more exotic.

Have you been to Exit Kelpi?? Def up for Serbia though am quite swayed by the beach / festival thing of Benicassim
- kelpie0
I missed it last year due to being in Barcelona, but a crew of pals went and they loved it - its in a big old medieval castle and its enormous and drugs a ludicrously cheap, not that that ought to sway you or anything. Way bigger event than Benicassim and really eclectic...

I mean fucking hell - Billy Idol!

I dont think the beach at valenica is great but the city is certainly improving. My friends tried to travel on the cheap by flying to barcelona and then gettting a train to valencia. it turned out to be quite a bit of hassle. i think there are flights from Coventry now

Not really expecting an amazing beach but any access to salt water and sun would be fucking fantastic compared with possible breaks in cloud and definite mud at glasto! Cheers for the tip on getting there though. Does anyone know if the line up is it much the same as glastonbury?
- UndoUndo0
i think its focused more towards repetitive beats than bands , although there are bands there.
Have you seen the new application process for glasto? You now have to apply with id, photo etc and once accepted you can purchase tickets
- kidswift-0
I know, fucking militant fucks. Makes it impossible if due to unforseen circumstances you buy a ticktet and can't go. Or even possibly get a ticket if you fail to get one from there over loaded website or phone lines. I swear 3 yrs ago I was up for 12hrs hitting refresh. Never again if I don't get tkts within the first hour i ain't going. Though I have to say i don't mind applying prior if it saves a totla bleakout later on.
On another note Undo undo are you a product designer per chance??
- UndoUndo0
glastoc ticket buying is always frantic... although last year was the easiest.
I was a product designer and moved into web development a few years back now but still work with product designers here.

Would either yourself or one of the guys you work with be up for a discussing a product design freelance job for my company? It would be for two products at this stage with more to follow later.

erm, not to be a miserable old troll or anything, kidswift - but if you do nip off abroad for a wee festival, i hope ..
a) it's your only flight this year
b) the flight is balanced with consumer carbon credits (for what use they are at the moment)
or
c) you go by trainOtherwise, fuckit, I'm throwing in the towel and going to Canada skiing, jetting off to Japan for a couple of weeks and buying myself a car, like I want to.
*steam

If its good enough for Tony then its good enough for me!!!
