archiving projects

  hey all.. long time no post..

  just wondering what you all use to archive and backup your projects as you progress..

  on mac,
  using dvds..

  i'm looking for some sort of software that'll let me burn multiple spanning dvds (drag and drop a ton of folders and let the sofware split up the files according to disc sizes) and also i need the software to catalog my discs.. so i know what's on each..

  i'm sitting here with over 350 previous DVDs that i'm walking into on this new job.. and i'd hate to have to archive these by hand every time..

  any suggestions?
  does toast do something like this?
