Ok..I need to make a login page and I was wondering what is the fastest, easiest way to make one. ASP? PHP? Javascript? If anyone can refer me to a simple tutorial then that would be wondeful! Ive looked on google to no avail.

Well it depends on what your back-end is that holds the login information.
MSSQL = ASP.
MySQL = PHP.You can use text files too I guess, but this all depends on how secure you want it, heh.
My suggestion is to store the Username in your database as plain text, then the password as an encrypted bit string so that even if someone found the password to decrypt it would be almost impossible without knowing the algorithm you used to create the encryption/decryption methods (well of course that depends on how crazy you get, as you can see I've gotten pretty crazy).

all i need is users to be able to a .html page with secure links. something super simple. not too secure.

by far the easiest way is to use an htaccess file to do http authentication.
google that.

for a very simple (but also unsecure) approach you could use Flash to check that the submitted value matches a variable:
