hello team! well, i had a very nice weekend with lots of sleep and no hassle at all. since 1/2 year i hardly leave the house for partying, so i was cooking on saturday and had wine with my lovely gf ; ) sunday, i went to the studio with my band to make a nice demo.
the next month, i am staying at home to learn and work for my test in february. wish me luck ; )

i quit my job pascii.
working out 14 days notice and enjoying the ensuing panic.then in February, i will be elevated to director in my new job. set my own holiday, hours and work ethic. I'll be able to work on my own pet projects, experiment, develop, do creative things :D
my motivation here, consequently, is rock bottom.

I've been Joburg for two weeks Nairn. My girlfriends mum passed away suddenly before Christmas, so I went to lend my support.
But yes. I'm moving on to better things. I've been asked by an associate of mine if I'll join him in a partnership (until we can afford more) of an as yet born company. I'll be a Director from the outset, and we'll be working on a few select projects to basically fund our own projects and ideas, which we fully expect to make a killing with. That's the plan ;)
All I need do now is stick this out, and think of a company name!

I'm very happy to hear you're setting up independantly - you've got the skills, you'll never need look back. Just don't outsource company name choosing to the usual mess of idiotic NT ruffians (me included).

Those of a mercantile-persuasion couldn't give a hoot what grades you achieved at something as unimportant as A-levels!
I only wish someone had told me that whilst floundered through two years of irrelevancy, simply aiming to get to Uni, which I didn't need to got to either.

I'm just a bit desponded cos i had quite a successful interview on friday at a place that is intensely corporate ,but pays like a shit load more but i'm thinking in that case i'd rather just stay here cos i can skive more and i dont have a "line manager". Aaargh, i wanna move to LA
I swear being your own boss and running your own business is the ONLY way to go. 2007, thats the year of the entrepreneur. Time to go stellar.
