Dear Mainstream Media,
In the future, please hire talking heads who actually might have a fucking clue. Just one.

Puerto Rico is part of the United States, you moron, and it's citizens ARE US citizens.
This from a guy who gets paid bazillions probably to pontificate on national TV every night about politics.
- version30
yes be it a non-voting commonwealth they are US citizens
im·mi·grate
2. to pass or come into a new habitat or place
while it may not be the definition you want being touted (be it from country to country) he is not incorrect in what he said

Migration

2. The periodic passage from one region to another for feeding or breeding.
Immigration
Noun1. Migration out of a place.
although your anger is probably justified, this guy was right calling him an immigrant

(Jan 13 07, 13:25)So all citizens are immigrants then? So if I move from NY to california, I can be used as an example of bad US immigration policies?
I get it. Totally clear.
- version30
angst because your biased view wasn't well received?
he immigrated from one way of life to another, from one land to another, from an island to this big bastard here, he immigrated. get over it.
- TheBlueOne0
He immigrated form one way of life to another?? That's how you discuss immigration policy in the US?
So ok, let's say a guy is a migrant farmer in Mexico, and then he gets up and moves and becomes a migrant farmer in, um..say Arizona.
Well, migrant farmer in both places, so gee I guess he hasn't moved from "one life to another"?
Typical conervative jackoff can't keep your definition straight..go listen to Limbaugh
- version30
immigrated
- version30
legal and illegal
- version30
definitely immigration though
- bolus0
I'm just saying that if puerto rico is a protectorate (which it is right?) this is certainly immigration..... I'm not calling you biased or anything like that
i must admit that this is a difficult case
- version30
and i think moving two miles over the border from mexico to the us to do the exact same thing be it he immigrated to a better life if he was making more money doing the same thing to provide for his family :)
- version30
oh i'm saying theblueone is biased as he has proven there is only one definition of immigration that fits this story in his eyes
- madirish0
v4, if you met a person on the street who told you they were from Puerto Rico, would you consider them an immigrant?
this has nothing to do with the definition of 'immigrate', mind you.
- material-10
my mother is an immigrant, so what?
also glenn beck is an idiot on so many other levels.
- bolus0
he sounds pretty stupid to me ... but i don't know him, apart from what i just read
- version30
mad, in my life i saw move, even if it is true immigration, so no, i would never say "oh so you immigrated here"
A close friend of mine "immigrated" from Luxembourg. But we all say he "moved"
but the article and this particular part here make this thread fairly worthless and moot at best
"BECK: You are an immigrant from Puerto Rico.
BADILLO: Puerto Rico. Yes."
that just about sums that up right?
i mean seriously, TBO is stating that Badillo himself is wrong, yet claims to be defending Badillo's honor or what not by calling Beck a "talking head"
if Badillo had a problem with it, I'm sure he would have said something
- mrdobolina0
dont ever find yourself defending glenn beck, it's really bad form.
- mrdobolina0
I guess I am biased, but I think glenn beck is a big ol tool.
see any of the things he had to say about rep ellison from minnesota?
defending racism is bad, mmmkay?
- material-10
nancy grace is an idiot as well
