why the fuck can i not connect this pissing macbook pro to my wireless network? I have reset the router, reset a new password and it worked, once or twice then stops working, the macbook sees the network name, but when I choose it it either asks for the password and then spins away eventually returning 'there was an error joining this network' or it just spins away and gives an error not even asking for the password.. strange thing is, I have an emac connected to it fine, and a powerbook connects fine..
Anybody have any suggestions / experiences?

... and you have gone through the router interface and made sure you have permissions set to allow another to join, to assing an IP to it, that you are not only allowing it to join by known MAC addressed, etc..... right??

yeah, google that. i've seen macbook airport card issues all over the place, not sure what the solution is, sorry, but it's a common problem.

yeah there is no security other than the WPA password, the access list is open.

very odd. again, just for more info, is this a LinkSys router? i know of issues connecting to these.
but i would think that if you are connecting via the other comps. this one should as well. maybe try resetting PRAM of MBP?

I had the same problem with a new intel imac + router from netgear, found the network but could never connect...
I took mine back and changed it for a belkin, worked within a couple of mins.
