change bkgnd color

  I have 5 menu items (each having its own color) on top of a blue background. When clicked, I want the blue background to change to that particular buttons color. And then once in that section no matter which one you click on, it will change accordingly. Blue to Green. Green to Orange, etc.

  I'm sure this has been done. Looking for an actionscript that will achieve it.
