when i was in japan last month i went to the Ninja Restaurant there, i highly reconmend it with large parties, food isnt the best but the atmosphere is sooooooooooo cooooool!!!!

i've heard about ninja but i think it's over-rated. it's like a circus of food.
peninsula hotel spa sounds good.
what about opera? have you done that? or symphony orchestra.

but its not really Kobe Beef, since Mad Cow back in the day banned the Kobe Beef from Japan and its just beef from Texas said to be the same but its not.

true, they raise them in texas now. have you tried it though? i think their grade is so much higher than regular USDA Prime. it's expensive but i think it's well worth the price.

i've lived in the city for a while but i've never been to the museum of sex. seems like it would be interesting.

i can't really tell the difference in taste from actual japanese kobe to texas kobe. they are very similar in quality as far as i can remember. as far as sushi goes, it's so much better in japan. damn, i am getting hungry now.

it's largely the type of cattle used moreso than the japanese maidens that massage it daily

go to a large video game place and play video games with her all day. she'll love playing the old school games and the racing ones with you.
bonus points if there is food there too.
go to the opera. bet you haven't taken here there in a while.

the ninja museum looks cool, museum of sex, the sneaker jam, trapeze school on the hudson, also wanna see the human bodies exhibit at southstreet seaport.
games is cool also, but I have done that already, but it is always a good capper.
i wont do all of these things, but def 2 or 3 this weekend.

I'm going to try out the bar at the modern next week

rand, i had dinner at the Modern. it's excellent. the bar is pretty nice too. the food is slightly cheaper and a bit more casual than dining room. The Modern is a good place for a special occasion with your wife.

forwarded something to you, steve.. it 'involves' drinking, as there's drinking there (very inexpensive drinking), but it's a theater group and doesn't REvolve around the drinking.

For Opera, Mozart's: The Magic Flute in at the Met right now. I saw it on Tuesday and it was incredible. Amazing costume and stage design, only 1.5hrs long, and in English. Go forsure if there are tickets left.
The German version which is a bit longer but the same cast will be running afterwards (later this month - march). I'm thinking of going again.
