I'm using JavaScript to zonk a Java applet on to a loaded page.
I want the applet in a 10px border box below the Flash with 10px padding.
Once I get #appletBorder and #appletcontent set right, I'm home free.
I can't figure it out though:

The Add Applet link is just to simulate JavaScript from the Flash.
Can anyone help please?

your thread seems lonely...
i don't see where you specify a border for your div, i only see the 10px padding
you have the width of the containing div (bgCol) set to 100%, any div inside there will occupy the width of that div if you don't specify one. specify a width or use display:inline
keep in mind that i suck at this thing you call CSS

Ah, the width 100%, tis the bugger.
Tried putting it outside that div and it leapt 500 pixels down the page.
Still, you've given me a clue. I'll sleep on it.
Cheers.

it jumped down the page because the height of that container div is also set to 100%

Yah, I knew I was using a div for the background for some reason, now I'm not sure.
Gotta find the Javascript to change the body color now. Shouldn't be a problem...
