No Its not my monitor..
Think its the colour setting with in photshop.

just choose the web-safe pallete if you want to. but it's not really necessary because most monitors render full-colour now.
if you're worried about if what you see is what other people will see - don't worry either. most people don't change colour defaults. only brightness and contrast. the relation between colours remains intact.

as long as your files are srgb youy okay.
don't be serving up any adobe98.
as for the rest of the world seeing the same colors you got on your screen - never going to happen

Its weird, had a load of psd's they where are all saving out really dull when saving for web viewing in the web browser.
So i tried screen dumping them and re-saving for web, that seemed to have solved the problem.... Sure it would come up again though.
Cheers

sounds like your files may have been in adobe98. webbrowsers don't always respect the adobe 98 profile and strip it - leaving your files looking flat and green. when you resaved for web you were converting your profile to srgb - making it look okay.
adobe 98 stinks for the web.

When you save for web - next to the 'save' button on the left should be a little arrow - click it, and select 'use document color profile'
sorted.
