Keyboard fooked!

Some little monsters spilled something sweet and sticky on my MacBook Pro and now three keys don't work (fwd slash + question mark, up + right cursor), trackpad button is crusty and the space bar takes about five seconds to return to it's original position.
Will taking it to the Apple Store to get cleaned fix the broken keys?*
I've seen a guide online to tell me how to dismantle and clean the keyboard but it's a bit scary looking and involves a lot of screwing and peeling of seals. And it'll invalidate the warranty. Anyone ever tried it?*
*Yeah, I cut and pasted the question marks. I am a n3rd.

Even though its not Apple's fault(since a someone spilled something in your keyboard) normally taking it in if you are still under apple care , they will just put a few new keys on for no charge.
They may charge you for an entire keyboard replacement tho, they normally have laptop keyboards in stock in the genius room.

hahaha. I would defntly try the store than doing it yourself. I saw the tutorial online and looks pretty complicated...

It still works when moving back up but it's slow and crusty and chewy.

i would simply order a new keyboard and replace... its not terribly difficult - i bet you can find a keyboard on ebay.

i highly suggest you keep such valuable electronics from those who may treat it like a snack stand

Make that four keys - the right shift ket doesn't work. Plus ejecting a CD or DVD takes a few attempts and they come out stinking of sweet liquid >:(

$70 and a new keyboard. And Mac-free over the New Year. Apart from this Mac. Ahem.
