Witt
(Dec 20 06, 05:43)it is supposed to be much like Ushuaia, Argentina (where i have spent time at and done much trekking). if it is anything like it, it would be one of the most amazing places on this planet, as Ushuaia is flat-out amazing.

just from googling Ushuaia i would say those mountains look much bigger.
Never been out of Europe myself. I still have a lot to see.

oh, indeed Witt. The Andes are just a touch bigger than what Tassie has in store. ;)
but it is the general feeling and activities I was referring to, how they may be similar.

Madagascar is amazing. It doesn't get much credit, being associated with Africa and all, but it's nothing like the mainland whatsoever. Feel more like Polynesia or something.

Malagasy is one of the wildest languages out there. Tana is a decent little city.

'vacation' feeling. it probably wears off after a while if you live there long enough.

yeah they're all fine but my ma got burnt from the embers.
One chook actually died and there's burnt wallabies hopping about with no whiskers. But no humans died which is the main thing.
That same fire did destrioy 23 houses the day before though so it's very lukcy my childhood collection of amazing spiderman survived. Extremely fortunate.
