A quick search yielded only an angry Jox... so anyway... my girlfriend gave me a b-day present yesterday of a trip there.
Anyone have details on bookstores and/or design/art related goodness?

i do find it amusing how whenever people are going away all they want to know is where the design bookshops and trendy toy stores are, are the no shops where you live, cant you buy any book from the internets? Aren't you interested in looking around or just shopping? I'm just breakin ya baws mind, sorry, no help.

I’ve no interest in toys, I don’t get the whole designer toy thing... books I’m very interested in though. Most good bookstores have shit websites... Ireland has no great hidden gems of bookstores.

you might want to go to 'DesignTorget', Götgatan ( it is located between Slussen Metro Station and Medborgarplatsen). In the same area, check out Indigo Bar and Södra Teatern. Aslo visit the old town, 'Gamla Stan', and nearby museums, like Moderna Museet (other museums in the same area near The Chapman Hostal), as well as Svensk Form. Check out Stureplan area for bars.
