Right on, Crouwel.
My first job was for a 'paper, so I have some appreciation of the chaotic environment and potential for disaster when the deadline looms - which is why i carried straight on down the 'New Media' route as it opened up.
"Broken/Incorrect/libellous headline? No worries - *tap tap tap* - Taa-daa! - Edited."
I can still find it funny when they fuck up though :)

Nor have I, but I have seen atlases and photos of Earth from space, so I can tell when they've mirror-flipped a picture of our home world by accident! ;)

But it is not true there are no strict deadlines in the web industry - there often are even 3 or 4 deadlines per project!
