The intern here is having mad issues with her G5 1.6.
Yesterday while using it the screen goes dark and the G5s internal fans shut down for a few seconds, then start back up again. Then repeats about 10 minutes later.
I've checked for updates and opened it up and it doesn't feel too warm.
I saw it was plugged directly into the wall, so I put it into a surge protector and gave it it's own plug in the wall.
Also found out she hasn't shut it down in about 2 months, has more shit running on the thing (a fish bowl app, chia pet lookin thing, and some other dumb app) and sends me about 5-6 vids a day to shady sites.
Anyone else had this happen?
Is it running hot and shutting itself off?
Is it the old 20" mac monitor going bad?
(the one where the vga and power are in one cord)
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

SUVs are from the Devil.
A hippy told me so, but I bitch-slapped him, stuck a joint in his mouth, gave him a bar of soap, scissors and a razor and sent him on his way
he'll thank me for it later

Hmm... with a little more research and a temperature Widget her CPU is running 70C
WAY too hot. I believe at 75C the CPU shuts off.
Found the problem.
Thanks anyways.
