i'm still sad that people find me arrogant, though. coz i know that is so.
it's not my fault people have other interests, but i can't refrain from posting my own.
- PonyBoy0

"maybe i don't belong here..."
... dude... kleenex. Good grief, Witt... saying silly stuff like the above or
"Post your own favourite things. Please reduce nerd comments to the wisest mark, so that we may find bliss for every click"...
... is like saying:
"Please, hi-jack my thread." :)

just post a fucking, fucking poem you enjoy. nothing more.
i don't care if it sounds gay. just post and let's stop this crap of analising usernames and such.
everyone has it's reasons for it and this is not a fucking democratic republic.

- Jaline0
Witt likes romancing me with his poetry.
What's your real name again?
- Jaline0
oooo, postmodernism. I just finished writing an essay about Lyotard and Habermas.
- ********0
ahah, Jaline.
glad you're here. not all my troubles are in vain. post a poem!
btw, "love in vain", rolling stones. great stuff.
- ********0
so, what did you conclude about pmodernism? i never got that far... they all seem to index stuff in categories that no one really believes for sure. but maybe that is the point of it.
- Jaline0
I think it's noble, but not sure if it'll gain any ground. Lyotard's ideas about decentralization and being against meta-narratives are appealing. I personally don't like some aspects of modernism, such as the way of thinking about the world through meta-narratives (grand, all-encompassing notions about the world) Lyotard claims it uses. Also, post-modernism is all about diversity and acceptance of different cultures and viewpoints, and you can argue that the world is getting more culturally diverse. At the same time, you could argue the opposite way because of globalization. Basically, Habermas wants to sustain modernism by using the rational ideas of the Enlightenment whereas Lyotard believes modernism to be a failed project and the world needs to be more diverse now.
- Jaline0
In conclusion, I'm leaning toward post-modernism and its ideas about local determinism instead of global determinism, but it's hard to argue against some of Habermas's points too.

well, we're somehow living it aren't we? the whole of things and information. is there anything more than this? is it good? do you like it? in the end the rationale comes down simply to like it/not like it (is that not the truth?). Maybe, just maybe, Lyotard was right. you make it. But Schopenhauer said the same without the news.
and you didn't post a poem, so i'm not given you my real name.
