Hey peeps,
Anyone know an easy way of stopping my flash header and nav bar refreshing with each different HTML page???
The nav and flash header are the same on each html page, so is there an easy way of getting the browser to just update the bottom half/content section???
javascript?

reloading with a variable for on-state passed to Flash can be a good solution too

do you? do you want to reload, is that what you want? is it?

no, the flash element wants to stay static, I want the bottom bit, (html section) to reload.

you can do it with Javascript. Basically, you'll just refresh the content DIV with each click.
I've heard some people call this ajax, but it's not, it has no xml component. It's just javascript.

sounds good il have a dig

if you do that, you'll have a site with no back buttons, no refresh.
IMHO - not a good idea. so, make considerations for that.

I use this for the same thing you're trying to do (except I had html nav instead of flash - should work the same though, right?):
