Ok guys, I have made a Standard H for my typo class. We are adding slab serifs to our H's. I wanted some suggestions. Do the serifs look visually balanced with the H?http://www.public.asu.edu/~ele...
Thanks!

Haha with the slabs, I feel like I'm taking an eye test.
I like 2/3 ... probably the smaller of the two (3) personally in terms of proportion.
Then again ... I have no idea what I'm talking about ... ever.

Yea, I know. Finals are next week. I need to finish up my Standard H. For some reason it is giving me such a hard time. My professor is so picky.

is there a point of reference here? type design is about all the letters working in harmony, not just one offs. i can't understand what this exercise would teach someone. are there other letters involved here? someone once said, type is a beautiful group of letters, not a group of beautiful letters.

yes..i also made an E, an A, and an O. the HAEO represent the four basic shapes. we then take those four san serif letters we made and then made a "fake" body of text ]manually kern the text. then we add serifs to the H's. yea!
