A guy at work says that all the time. Makes me wanna stab him in the neck with a pencil.
He also says things like libary. (instead of library). Amazing thing is, he's got a P.h.D.

when "irregardless" is used in jest, very sarcastically, making fun of itself, it can make a point more poignant.
However, when used as an actual word by people trying to sound smart and/or when used as a normal word in passing it is pretty much a sign of ignorance, and it annoys me.
