iPhoto not working

    I'm having trouble importing images into iPhoto from my computer. I saved them as jpegs and tried tifs also, but always get this error message:

    Unreadable files: 2
    The following files could not be imported (they may be an un recognized file type for the files may not contain valid data.

    Users/dean/Pictures/iPhoto Libray/5.jpg
    Users/dean/Pictures/iPhoto Libray/5.tif

    It's totally dorked.
