so is everyone in this thread saying that i should turn each of you in for whatever "sin" you admit to committing be it smoking pot, cheating on your girl, whatever?
so you are all completely cool paying tickets issued to you by a camera?
i thought the fun in life was getting away with things
an internet full of tattletales is not where i want to be.
i'm also assuming none of you have ever sped either :/
because 10 miles or 70 miles over the speed limit is still an accident waiting to happen and a reason for a cop to pull you over.

and turning someone in for smoking pot. i thought about that the other day. how easy would that be?!? i mean, all a guy has to do is say piss off a member here really bad. maybe falsely accuse them of something, then instead of an apology they say 'go fuck yourself'. or something. how easy would it be to anonymously post to some crime stoppers site info about said person? talk about internet justice.
but anyways. i see your point, but a few years ago while i was driving on the expressway some guy ripped past me on his bike who had to be doing 150+. i was doing 70 and he passed me like i was standing still. i never even saw him coming. the thing that really scared me was just a second or two before he passed i was going to switch into that lane. if i did i would have for sure killed him.... for his own mistake. and in a court of law even though he was doing 150-170 i would have been to blame. that sucks.
or what if he swerved to miss me and hit another car head on killing the people inside?
smoke dope in your own house? fine. do 160+ on a highway when i'm on it. not fine.

If the guy did it on some old highway/road w/NO other cars... I could probably care less...

it's got nothing to do with crime prevention or preventing future accidents. for whatever reason i can't grasp it as there is lots of venom in some of your responses and i'm not down with that.
people do stupid shit. If that idiot got caught that very day i would be fine with giving him a ticket taking away the licence or whatever but banging on him for crimes of the past ain't cool as it's gonna turn us into a bunch of scared mofos afraid to do shit even some innocent sily shit because we'll leave in fear that some rightious asshole out there might turn us in.

I hate little fuking bike riding retards who as soon as they spot a girl in front, next or behind them -regardless if she's the cutest or fugliest girl in town- decide it is cool to show all their tricks. I am waiting for the day one of these idiots hits the pavement with a bunch of cars doing 45-60mph behind them, including the hot chick.

i guess what strikes me as odd is the mounting agnst against this particular instance.
each of us see this everyday in traffic be it walking, driving, or biking, there is always someone heavy on the gas.
we all have a story similar to konas where there has been an excess of speed. ome worse than others
that is my girlfriends car hit outside of our apartment 5 years ago.
my point is why all the "tattletale" childish shit?
I respect each and every one of your opinions, but I would think differently of you if i found you spending personal time trying to see these two "put to justice".

one sunny afternoon i came up behind him at a stoplight while he was on his bike, i had a couple of my girlfriends in the car. he notices them so when the light turned green he decided to try and show off some of his 'skills'. he popped a few pathetic wheelies then tried popping another whlie doing maybe 20mph and hit the gas way too hard... i almost shit myself when i saw his bike shoot out and up away from him and land on the sidewalk of the street.
so i of course make sure he's ok. then a few hours later the cops come to my door and the little fuck made me lie to them saying 'he swerved to miss a dog that ran across the street'. he got a brand new bike free of charge. i was pissed when i asked him what would have happened if there was a mom and her kid walking on the sidewalk and he said 'so'.
ass.
justice was served when he totaled his bike again a month later when he rearended a car, shot over the handle bars and the bar took off his right kneecap as he went over. didn't kill him but hurt him bad enough where he never wanted to be a dummy on his bike again.

Pony i find it disturbing that often people bring in big words trying to worry about the "big picture" and "other's safety" to legitimize thier claim but in reality they cover something dirty within themselves.
If the guy caused an accident something big would change (in his family or the faimily of the vistim) but also something will chage in us (even if only a little bit) if that guy gets busted for innocent posting of a video where he does a stupid thing indeed but in the end no accident happens.
