I have standard 07_53 in a shared library. When I import it and utilize it through css in my dynamic text field it looks all blurry. Text box is at 0,0 the mc is at 0,0 and I set the font to bit-map when i embedded it. Anyone know how to correct this? Thanks.

to clarify, there is no problem in flash 8 but we are creating the site for flash 7.

it is probably being aliased.
flash 8 has that new alias setting which I think is now the default when generating text fields progromatically. you have to specify it to not alias the type.also, check the shared font file to make sure that it was imported as bitmap text. it is one of the settings if you right click on the font in the library and go to properties.

I set the bitmap text setting right off the bat. The text looks fine in flash 8, it's not anti-aliasing it all but flash 7 appears to be.

Well here is an iffy fix in case anyone runs into a similar problem.
this.bodytext_mc.field._highqual... = 0;
This will fix the bit-map text problem so pixel fonts look as they should. It will kill any fonts that need some sort of smoothing though (ie, serif fonts).
