anyone interested in getting a poker night together. I guess tournament style.
Full-tilt offers private tournaments but the min cost is $5+$.50 they don't offer anything for free. But they they've got mac & pc software so it would be universal....
anyone?

I've not tried that, I'm looking for a free option because I don't think enough people will pay $5 to play. I'd like to talk y'alls money, but just like playing too.

I wouldn't play for anything else but other people's money.

i haven't played online in a while. i have a party poker account.
i'd be interested in playing for the heck of it but now i gotta start saving for a vacation in january.
is it $5 to join and then whatever real money you want to play with?

No, it's $5 into the pot for payout to the winner. I think you can set up 1st, 2nd, 3rd place to pay. or just winner pays. A few options with full tilt. If anyone plays on other networks, just look into setting up a private tourney or table and see if anyone does it for free.

sure! I'll play... and lose. :)

Only reason I say with money is that I was drunk off my ass playing NTN Poker at my buddy's bar with free chips and was up to 30K with 2K buy-ins, when people found out you could lose and just jump back in for free.
So losing meant nothing.
And everyone was going all-in every hand.
I threw the thing at one of the jerks who kept going all-in with like 2-9 off suit, and other ridiculous donkey hands and swore never to play poker without any prize to achieve again.

when it's real money people have this odd tendancy to be a little more careful with their bets...the pots may not be so rewarding and the players not so ...how we say... on tilt
