good time versus pain in the hole creative collective

  I've been asked to join a creative collective. I've never been in one before so not sure what to expect or whether it's a good idea.

  It's with six other girls, only one of which I know. I get on really well with her but not too keen on her artistic style (I've only seen some very arty farty abstract paintings)

  The first meeting is being held next week, then every second week.

  I was wondering if anyone has any pointers on what I should expect or if they have had any experiences of collectives good or bad.
