that think they have it bad.
You will cry, if you don't, you're heartless. But it helps to put shit in perspective every once and a while.
Series of articles about a little girl named Maddie Trudel.

why you trying to make me cry?
it's a sad story. i watched on a news this kid who had leukemia and fighting for his life. he had the best smile despite the fact he's gone through so many operations.
he had a Doctor uniform on for the halloween. after that, i wanted to donate money to St Jude hospital.

sorry guys... i followed her story from the summer and debated posting that. But a lot of people seem to complain about how bad stuff is, and at the end of the day it's just design.
Just be thankful sometimes, because most of us have it pretty good.

give thanks. i am donating.

"I was sitting with her and we were talking about reincarnation and she's just a bright little girl," Beverlee Stoutenburg said.
Maddie thought for a moment.
"If I get reincarnated," Maddie said. "I want to be a dinosaur."
...
Real fucking bright little girl.
DINOSAURS ARE EXTINCT!!!!
DUH!!!!!
MORON!!!!

Argh, I hate stories like this. I mean it's great that she has such an overly supportive figure in her life, and a staff of people to help her.I just think of all the other kids who are just sitting in hospitals when their parents don't know what to do, and end up doing nothing.
It's other people in the world that gives me faith in humanity, because I sure don't get any from myself.

I'm crying in work.
I lost my baby daughter 4 years ago and it's the most heartbreaking thing to happen to anyone.
To read a story like this, of Maddie and her father's bravery and their positive outlook can only help Maddie's memory to live on and help others to stay positive in the face of despair.

(Nov 27 06, 11:20)Roll over Texas and if you couldn't help but cry in joyride's post, you can't help but chuckle at this.
Also, this is a good idea (donating around this time of the year).
I've been asked to attend an other charity organization's celebration for the middle of December ... I just find those things ridiculous.
I mean ... why have a party when that money can go to whatever fund/charity you are trying to raise awareness/monetaries for?
I mean, I know it's usually some private donator for the party itself but ... argh.
End rant.

As sad as the story is for the living, I am happy for Maddie since she is now free of pain. Her father seems like a strong man. Hopefully he can pull through this.
Did anyone catch the comment posted in the last article where the person complains about speaking the "love of God"? Totally uncalled for. If that's what the father needs to calm himself and his daughter before her imminent death than more power to him.

everything will change the day you have kids. trust me.

flavorful -PULL YOUR HEAD OUTTA YOUR ASS!
You should read Bill Hicks' biog and take note.
He renounced his cynical ways towards the end of his life.
Terrible that it takes something dreadful to happen to some people before they manage to pull their heads out of their own asses.

damn you flavorful!

I can't even imagine the pain the father went through and is going through.
My son is 4 and I'd jump in front of a train for him, without hesitation.

Once you have kids, life has a whoooole new meaning.
