I used to buy Computer Arts Magazine, but have stopped purchasing the mag ages ago due to repetition. The mag is going round in circles basically. i.e. same contributers every month, same type of tutorials, features, and advice.
Plus the work published in the mag is uninspiring, it looks and feels the same all year long.
In my opinion the mag is in decline.
So, my question is: What mags (if any) do you regularly read?

what was that great magazine (I think computer arts was behind it) back in the heyday of "new media"? Are there other good interactive design magazines? I can't find any that aren't just photoshop tutorials.

The only other mag i can think of was Create Online. But your right there is a serious lack of quality publications that get released on a regular bases.
Now, if i want a good read on a subject i'll buy a book from You Work For Them or Magma.
Honestly though, there is no mag out there now worth the subscription fee.

Ah, yes...Create Online was the one I'm thinking of...I seem to remember that it got a little tired too.

check out graphik, that is an excellent read. and always fun to look at as well.
i agree with you on the computer arts mag though... its gone stale.

I agree with foreverwhatever, Grafik is usually pretty good. Eye is a good read but pretty pricey...

yeah i agree, computer arts is a total bore. i know they had problems and changed editors every day for a while and never really got it back together

I'll check out both Eye and Grafik Magazine! IDEA Maga is OK, but like Eye mag is a little expensive.

I really dug Create Online, it didn't seem as stuffy as alot of other design mags.

If it's so stale and so boring why not give them a ring and tell them to give you money cause you can do it better.

I used to but Computer Arts and Arts Projects every month, but I stopped coz it is true it is all the same now.
Anybody here reads DIGIT??
A few people have recommended me that magazine but I haven't checked it out. Is it good? or is it the same crap as CA?

Baseline is beautiful and cheaper than Eye I think but only comes out like six times a year if that.
