US Wage (Indy)

OK, I'm not sure who to believe but I've seen online that the average salary here in Indianapolis for a graphic designer is $43.5k. I've got 8 years experience (print mainly) and a decent folio, is this salary reality or fantasy? Can I expect the same/less/more in Florida/New Jersey/Pennsylvania?

We got it all sorted out.
That's 88,000 hamburgers in Indy.72,000 lattes in Pennsylvania.
96,000 strawberrry milkshakes and some onion rings in Florida.
and 66,000 hot dogs in New JerseyI hope this clears it all up. Please try to read a little more carefully next time;)

8 years experience in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At least 55K. At the very least.
Don't know what's up with the rest of the Midwest, but everything is gradually getting more expensive.
I just hired a guy for a project at my company with limited PHP experience and UI design skills and they are paying him 63K.
Granted, he's under me.

I worked in Indy (mostly web design) for 5 years and maxed out at the high $40k range. Moved to Dallas 3 years ago and have since doubled that.
