sair, did you get the white or black one?
also. are you hooking up an external monitor? if so, does the macbook allow the 2 screens or does it just mirror the 13" laptop monitor?
- sair0
got the nice whitey.
andd i was planning to hook up an external monitor but i don't appear to have the right cable for the mini-dvi port
- k0na_an0k0
Cool.
That cable is a $19 extra when you order online. I was looking into one last night.
Still don't know if you can have an extended desktop with two screens or if it only mirrors the laptop. With the iBooks you could only mirror the laptop without installing a hack. (Which I did and it works perfectly).
- ribit0
it can do it..
- k0na_an0k0
Awesome. Thank you ribit.

(Nov 21 06, 06:22)Why don't you join Kramer and Mel Gibson over there!

I think I could do both ways, but I only use it with an external monitor in clamshell mode - it's a desktop machine then. I could check for you later, if you don't get a clear answer. It's just the monitor is hooked up to a PC now.

wait till the logic board goes out. you wont be so in love then.
oh and get this app. its dope.

i got macbook PRO core2duo. HA!
a spanking new lapdance.

should of gotten the pro, integrated graphics is a bitch..especially if you are going to use it to design on. take it back or at least max out the ram slots if you decide to keep it. ive seen several people running illy and photoshop in the studio working with semi large files and they get the "cannot perform operation not enough ram" message.
- sair0
i'v got 2 gig of ram, and it is so much quicker than my terrible old imac. so i am v. happy with it. might have to get that cable .
- formcounterform0
you will no doubt get better performance when cs3 releases, then at least your system won't be having to use a significant portion of your ram to translate the processes. but right now your computer is using your system ram to translate non native apps, and to drive the graphics card.
- sair0
yes i knew that photoshop etc are not native to it before i got it, i could not afford the pro (or want it). cs3 is what, mid 2007, ?
