anyone running this on their daily machines? what's been your experience so far?
my boss is going to scrap his pc and start with the mac, but has always slammed the flash performance. while bootcamp seems like a great option, parallels' ability to run alongside of osx seems to make it a no brainer.
any reviews are appreciated.

I use it just to run Outlook (Exchange) to fit in with our office system, and for a bit of site testing... on a MacBook Pro... works well. Just miss drag-n-drop between environents...

Is that like Ruby On Parallels instead of Rails. That Ruby is awfully busy. The bitch

works just dandy for most things. max out the ram on your machine though and it'll be happier.

Plus, Flash performance on the new Macs is pretty good in general. He may not need to bother with Parallels just for that.

flash player performance is fine, but the dev app still sucks

adobe/macromedia apps suck badly on the new macs, but it is just my personal opinion. Flash is one of the worst of those programs.

I just wonder if Leopard will improve Bootcamp to run both OS at the same time.

Seems I saw something that DirectX is not supported on Parallels (yet) and so your boss can't play Battlefield 2 or Call of Duty methinks.

I'm running Battlefield 2 and WH40K on Boot Camp Windows like a champ.
It is a pain to reboot back and forth between the two OSs. Parallels has that beat.

I'm still not sure what designers are using new Macs for as all I keep hearing is that Adobe/MM products run like shit on them.
I only use Adobe/MM so my thoughts of switching to a Mac continue to be in doubt. . . obviously there's parallels and bootcamp . . . but I still don't see what the designers are using the new macs for if the main apps don't work very well on them.

Its all the other stuff... I'm using MacBookPro because I need the versatility of running OSX and Windows, and because all the rest of my apps are for Mac, and all my (complicated) site production workflows/scripts n stuff are setup for OSX... The current Intel/Adobe thing is just a passing hiccup compared to all the other stuff...
