Hi, I just had to carry my xbox360 to europe and i put a converter which gives out 50 watts (i think xbox needs to feed on 200 watts) but the converter isnt working now, do you think i burned only the converter or some shit might have happened to my new baby?
thanks in advance

can anyone help or knows about this?

No idea about that...but the 360 is crap.
I had mine since August, and last night it got those 3 red lights which mean death. So I called MS to replace it and apparently I was out of warranty. When I bought it it had a year warranty, but apparently they changed it to 3 months now. The supervisor offered me 50% off of the repair fee of almost $200. On top of that, I'd have to pay $60 within the next 3 months for a 2 year warranty.
So I called Best Buy, talked to some real cool chick who was sympathetic. Told me to bring it in and she'd sell me a 2 year warranty for $50, meaning I could exchange it as often as I want. I didn't even buy the machine from Best Buy, but she hooked it up big time.
It's a sick machine when it works though.

well around the power switch, three-red lights kept flashing and then it stopped working but i figured it must have been the weak converter that died then the xbox stopped getting electricity naturally. what do you think?
tomorrow i m getting a 200watt output converter, if it works with that, its alive, if not, i will have to ship it back to new york with my receipt (2 year warranty) and can they take care of it like that ?

Shouldn't there be a label informing you of the power requirements (bottom/back)?
- koolbavaria0
yeah there was a label saying it needed 200watts with 100 volts but i plugged 50watts and 100 volts so i assume it only fried the little converter i plugged to the wall socket. tomorrow i m gonna find out whether i killed it or not even before my first play.
do you think if i ship it back to new york with its 2 year warranty, they can change it and send me a new one?
what should i say the error was so they consider renewing it ?
- ETM0
They might, but it will either cost a fortune or take forever to ship.
If you do, make sure you have all proof of shipping and then receiving at the other end. It would suck for it to get lost.

well if its fried, i dont mind paying 100 bucks to ship it and have it sent back but i m gonna find out tomorrow morning by my electrician. i m having a special converter done for this xbox adapter
and btw what should i claim was wrong with it in the first place if i have to write to them for a renewal?
