Went to the same college as the guy who designed that invitation. He was paid to do a mural on the side of a building in downtown pittsburgh. i have no picture but take my word for it. It's crazy good.

Yea, goodbye to Myron Cope. Truly a living legend ... well until earlier.

From the article:
"Among those longtime listeners was Cowher."My dad would listen to his talk show and I would think, 'Why would you listen to that?' " Cowher said. "Then I found myself listening to that. I [did] my show with him, and he makes ME feel young.""
. . .
When I was a kid, if we were traveling during a Steeler game my dad would have Cope on and I'd think, "Are you kidding me? We have to listen to this guys voice for the next couple hours!?"
But somehow, beginning as a teenager, that opinion seems to change for everyone. I was disappointed when he retired and now I'm bummed that I'll never meet him.

Yea. I remember all the games of watching it on TV but listening to him on the radio and how ape-shit crazy he would get during plays and just generally thinking about the other team before they even hit the field.
He was like that crazy Uncle who would say almost anything at the drop of a hat, except this crazy Uncle talked in tongues too boot.
I don't know if people do that anymore, or if any other city had such a commentator that it was merited (at least in football) as he lived and breathed the team even more than the entire city does (which some would say is sad, but I don't ,haha).
