So it's from Disney, but Disney recently bought Pixar, so is Pixar the development team? But it doesn't reference Pixar in the trailer, I'm confused.

Disney bought Pixar after production on this was almost finished.
So the Pixar heads weren't in charge there yet so nope, no Pixar involved in this.Pixar did however stop production of the Toy Story 3 movie that was being made at Disney (they own the rights), and is currently working on their own version (as it should be).
