cheers alkanenine, yeah id been looking at the m-audio one with the pads on it ...

but figured it didnt have as many pads as i need.i'm gonna go into a shop on saturday and ask for a play on all the things ive got my eye on.
i'll have a listen to others tunes laters (flatmate has the football on at the moment lol.)
have a listen to the last track i did. it was for radio1's livelounge competition - they wanted people to do a cover version of a well known track. i chose to do a remix of moby's classic "Go!"
http://konspiracy.co.uk/mp3s/mus…the tutorials on live have been very helpful and they are very easy to follow. but the guy i know thats a whizz at it will hopefully be able to show me some extra tricks and i'll be able to explain to him the way i want to use ableton and he'll be able to give me tips.
he's offered to MAKE me a control panel which would be pretty cool.
would definitely have to use some classic console or old skool computer as the box for it :)

cheers for everyones advice. def going to pop into a shop on saturday and have some hands on fun with everything.
i'll maybe be trying to trade in my MicroKorg against whatever i get.
mind you, trade-in prices are usually crap and id be as well holding onto it.

the pitch and tempo blending. you can hear that subtle mismatched blending. unless all those tracks you mixed were the same tempo and pitch?

yeah, you are on your own world there..there was only one track used and that was Lupe Fiaso's Kick Push.
Everything else, beats, bass, sinths percussion, etc are not loops.
Track is always at the same tempo, so there is no changing on tempo or pitch during the whole thing.

If I can figure out what you are talking about willl gladly explian what it is though ..

maybe you are talking about the eq changes on the original track hook?

its really expensive (for me) but it felt really strong and durable. my maudio o2 feels like its third grade equipment compared to this. we were beating on it and it still felt good.
