Any other suggestions? Blackberries? Treos? Star Trek?
Or should I switch services all together? Anyone know of any good deals at the moment?

(Nov 6 06, 09:53)When I was a kid, my brother and I wouldn't stop fighting in the car on I95, so my mom took our toy and tossed it out the window.
But I digress...

Alright...back to the thread topic...
The only benefit I have staying with Cingular is that as of right now the rents still pay for the cell phone, although that'll probably end sooner than I hope. But at least I can ride it out for a bit.

i have had treo 650 since it came out. very nice phone and recommend it. would get a treo 700, but waiting for the iPhone from apple. see what that has to offer

Hey van...how much do you pay?
I just have a regular phone at the moment. Is it reall worth shelling out almost twice as much for e-mail capability and internet? Don't get me wrong...I really want all that, but is it worth it?

dude, unlocked is the best. you can do a lot with it if you know how. personally, i would only buy unlocked.

(Nov 6 06, 10:20)Like what? I mean right now I pay for the multimedia function, and I can't e-mail pictures after I take them. I also can't browse the net, and I can't download anything off of the Cingular websites.
I can make callls and take pictures, just can't send them anywhere.

i've used all carriers
verizon has the best network, but the worst customer service.
t-mobile has the best customer service, decent network, and they will work with you to get your unlocked phone to work.
i have an unlocked nokia and i use picture messaging and all that. they sent me some config messages and got it working in 5 minutes

around 400 or so last year i payed for the 650. its a lot cheaper now.
i pay about 40 per month for the unlimited data plan from cingualr plus my minutes. surf the net, email and share photos/videos

you should google it and look up their server setting or for phone configurator.
maybe this will help.

(Nov 6 06, 10:40)Not so much, but thanks. It asks for a username and password...but it's not my Cingular one. I've taken my phone to a Cingular store, they took it in the back for about 20 minutes. Said it was good to go. Still doesn't access the net like it should and can't send MMS photos or access the Cingular medianet.
