How can I set up the pages in the page palette in Indesign so that the first 2 pages are in a spread. Indesign wants to split them up right now?

'Facing pages'

Have three pages; highlight the two in a spread; click on the arrow button and click on 'keep spread together' then delete the first individual page.

1. Make sure page 1 of the document is blank.
2. Choose File > Document Setup. Be sure the document contains at least three pages and that the Facing Pages option is selected. Click OK.
3. In the Pages palette, select all the pages except page 1. (The easiest way to do this is to select page 2 and then Shift-select the last page of the document.)
In the Pages palette menu, choose Keep Spreads Together.4. Select page 1. In the Pages palette menu, choose Delete Spread.
