I got laid off from a company I worked for as a creative director on 10/18/06 because I did not want to move to FL. They told me the office would be open until Feb. 1st 2007 until then I would have a job.
I made a flash video of my thoughts of the CEO and Marketing Director of the company.
So they found out what I did and told me to take it down or they would get a lawyer involved. Can I get in trouble for this? or is this the corporate world trying to be a bully?
Note: they do not own none of the images in this video. I took the pictures with my personal camera.
Any advice would help. see the link

That'll learn'em.

Take their offer or leave it. They said they would keep you until february when they could've just fired you. Show some respect for your employers and stop acting like a big baby.

Is that the Ding Fries are Done from Family Guy?
I don't think your bosses could sue you for that, but I guess Family Guy could.
- Grinch0
They closed up before Feb.1 thats what pissed me off!
- Redmond0
Oh ok, so you're home since the 18th. Well just ignore them. I doubt it'll even reach the courts.
I always try to remain on good terms with ex employers unless they were crooks. You never know when someone might be useful to you later!

I worked for a non-profit that has a really good cause but the corporate guys wasted a lot of money on first class flights and golf clubs. It's a shame what money can do to someone's mind.

You own nothing without sign-off.
- Grinch0
Even if I took the pictures with my personnel camera?

is the 'i told you so' really worth all the effort?
that really sucks about your situation though, Grinch. i have a deep belief in non-profits and hate to hear when stuff like this goes down.
best of luch duder.

you do indeed own your pics, however, what you do with them is another story. they could in theory bring libel charges against you for that, but it's a stretch. i would worry more about burger king and family guy, haha. seriously, ask them how much they figure their lawyers will charge them to pursue it, and tell them you'll take it down for half that amount.
- mrdobolina0
how did they find it?
- johndiggity0
i doubt they could do anything to you, but some advice; don't burn the bridge while you are still standing on it.

nobody but NOBODY's bosses actually look like that. this is obviously some cockamamie horseshit designed to make us all click that link for some sort of nefarious youtube hits contest.
- Grinch0
No its not a contest, go to their website and look at the executive director. He really looks like sloth from the goonies
- mrdobolina0
other people said it and I will reiterate:
never burn bridges.
- Grinch0
Your right.
- mrdobolina0
I think you may have already burned it by making that video though.
- Grinch0
Yeah, I just got tired of the bullshit that went on their so thats the only way I could express myself.
