What format is the date in?

Are they in SQL?
I would sort them before making the array.

I'm sure you could come up with a filthier interpretation of 'soapclient' for Kona, if you wished, moth.
- cosmo0
I wish it was retrieved from sql, sorting on sql makes life easier.
I am just reading a directory file list and want to sort the directory using the timestamp of the file.

you can use strtotime() on a format like that. strtotime() produces a unix timestamp which you can then use with date() to get the hour, day, month, year etc as normal
- cosmo0
aaahhh yes, that will do it. I think, let me try it. Thanks undo.

- cosmo0
Yup, that worked it's magic. Thanks again undo.
