Amazed how quickly these guys get me interviews at top firms...

(don't let the mundane website fool you--they're highly legit and connected.)

I don't like headhunters, but i used one to get me out of detroit. If you know how to work with them then you'll be cool.
Been meaning to get into this to see what's up:

What it is:
http://money.cnn.com/magazines/b…I think if i invite you in and you get a project, i make money... so you better be good or you fucking fired!

here are some reasons.
1. let's say, headhunter A has 3 candidates and he's pushing all 3 to Company B. there could be some money, character fit issue, whatever the company feels, they will address to headhunter A. you may never know what really goes on behind the closed door and this headhunter maybe trying to push another candidate. where as, if you are directly dealing with them, you may be flexible on some issues.
2. i like to negotiate the financial situation myself.
3. if i were to go from freelance to fulltime, they would take a huge cut (15% avg of a year salary). which means for the company, it'll be cheaper to hire somoene without that attachment.
4. they screwed up too many times. we've hired some freelance from some agencies... they sent really bad ones and oh the drama. it was really funny but costing us a lot.
5. this one headhunter i used missed a meeting with me. AND had sent me to an interview on a wrong date... at least i was a day early not day late.
6. i had 2 headhunters fighting over who gets to represent me. not a good experience.
7. they keep sending me emails even 3-4yrs after i had an initial interview. no, i do not know anyone available or good flash dev, leave me alone.
that's all for now.
