Should I export a flash site I am working on as flash 7 or flash 8? 8 makes it look a lot better (handles text much better) but not sure how many people are still on flash 7. any advice?

What sort of audience do you expect? If it's a younger and more tech savvy crowd, 8 should be ok.
If you so a search for "Flash Player Penetration," you can find stats about percentages of people and what player they have.

do flash 8. It looks better and behaves better. SWFObject it inplace, and it'll prompt 'tards with the old player..
I have very little time for making stuff for luddites, and have not once rewritten css to make it work properly in IE5.
Mind you, Im kinda grumpy today, and would love to get a foothold in that 'hey, KID' thread, but havent really got a beef with either of them.

if it is for a client - the f7 - b/c higher adoption rate. if it is for a portfolio then i'd sincerely hope anyone viewing your work who would offer you a job would already have 8 installed - otherwise - you prob shouldn't work for them anyways... ?

see what it's like online, if theres no noticable differences, do version 7.

Always helps to make sure your spec works on the clients/reviewers own computer.
It'll save you a lot of grief, regardless.
