I think it's necessary for certain people to see this film, but yes, it's highly disturbing. It didn't impact me as much as I thought it would and I think it's because I've been somewhat desensitized.

I thought the camera work was pretty nice, the story was extremely disturbing and it made me feel really really uncofortable. It was painfull to watch.
For those of you that have not seen it, I will try to describe it:Is like watching a movie with jennifer lopez on it, maybe something more like jennifer lopez, meets fran drescher and rosie perez.. yeah.. thats it...

just saw hard candy and I wasn't sure if it was a propoganda flick or wat.
I gotta go with Capote for the sucker punch boring cover but movie of all movies kind of experience.
its the total package, even the dvd menu.
I liked the Hard Candy DVD Menu tho...

Anyway, I meant that people who think issues such as rape are not highly disturbing should watch this. Unless they still get turned on by attacking women, and in that case they're permanently sick.

People that who think like that are most likely in jail, or will be very soon, I don't think they can show that movie there

okay, I understand now. But yeah, it's highly disturbing and reading posts about it on the internet (such as movie sites) don't always make me feel better since there are a few people who are not sensitive to those issues...
