I am having a real frustrating problem. I am using flash 8 (mac) and my movie settings are set at 24fps. However when I watch what I have on my timeline my fps rate will slow way down to like 10, 8, 11 and then back up to 24.
Anyone help? The animation isn't complex... I did this stuff on my PC all the time and never had this problem (I just switched to mac)
It SHOULDN'T BE my machine. 4 gigs of ram with a dual 3.0 intel.
I really have no idea...
Thanks.Any advice is appreciated.

I am not having any troubles in the browser... this is working right in flash 8.
Are you saying flash was designed for PC? Doesn't anyone else use flash?
Should I downgrade to fa previous version of flash?

thats talking about the flash player - whether in a browser or in preview mode. i believe its a mac + flash problem although im not a mac user so cant give you any advice really. i know there are others who have had made similar comments to yours - maybe they have found a work around solution.
you try saving back and trying on a older version of flash to see if it makes a difference

No I don't have an older version. I find it so hard to believe that there isn't a fix or work around for such a problem?? I mean come on... so many people use Flash and macs. I can't imagine everyone using a mac and flash has to deal with this?
Thanks for your advice though undo. I appreciate it.
Maybe I will have to work on my pc for all my flash projects?

Just noticed...
when I shrink the percentage of my movie down in flash she runs smooth. Just when it is at 100 it is choppy.
Looks like the published version is fine too.
Still... is this a common problem?
