A showcase for work plus decent music...

I'm going to a club night at the Bullet Bar at the top of Camden tomorrow night called Podraphenia, it's happening every couple of weeks. I got talking to the promoter and he is trying to build the night into a bit of a show case for creative types in general - he is getting live bands in to start the night, then the sound-system is opened up for everyone with an MP3 player to have 20 minutes of fame and be the DJ (I have put a playlist together for this weeks event).
But what I thought would be of interest to you guys is the fact that they have a projector that beams images and film onto various screens around the room and they accept any kind of visual work from anyone who wants to have their work shown. Animation, still images, it doesn't matter - you submit it to them before the deadline for each event, they stick it on a DVD and project it on the night. It's not about getting paid or anything, it's just if you want to showcase your stuff in public - put as much or as little of your own branding on your pieces they don't mind.
Anyway, I liked the idea so I thought I'd share with you lot.
