http://www.talkcrunch.com/2006/1…Announced today... no NTB yet but I am sure it's coming.
I just logged in and its a bit weird to get around at first. Also, I don't know about being charged for GPU's.
Now there is a charge for bandwidth AND processing power if you get a surge of traffic. Not totally understanding this new tech setup yet. I guess more info will come shortly. No cost info yet on this new structure.
I will probably do it as the new webmail looks to be about 100x better then squirrelmail.
Then again everything is better then squirrelmail.

Damn (mt) and their ridiculously priced Microsoft solutions.
- Seff0
what different does it make, they'll still upcharge my ass to get rid of the rediculous amount of spam i get

the think I want to know is how it works with us NT people that have 50% off for life.
- Neuarmy0
so there's no more "shared server"?
do i have a choice here, or do i automatically get put on the grid server and have to now pay $20 a month?
sorry, i'm in a class now, so i could only skim the info...
- liquid0
shared server I think is going to become obsolete... we get a "free" upgrade...
but then I think that means we start paying the grid price...
like I said before..... what happens with the folks that have the 50% discount and such.....
- Seff0
i have that same deal liquid.
i think im under 5 bucks/mo
then again, ive referred several clients
- Neuarmy0
damn, i don't think i have the NT deal, and there's no way i can afford $20 a month just for hosting...
guess i'm screwed.
- liquid0
well it doesn't say anywhere you HAVE to.

Will I have to pay more for (gs)?
No, current (ss) Shared Server customers will pay the same price that you have been paying for your account. example: if you have been paying $7.95 per month for your (ss) Shared Server Pro account, then you will pay $7.95 for your (gs) Grid Server Lite.
- Neuarmy0
so it's "highly recommended" haha...
i'm sure you'd HAVE to at some point though, ya know?
wonder how many dedicated customers like me that they might lose.. sucks i've been down with (mt) for quite a while and don't want to go elsewhere.
- Neuarmy0
i love you complexfruit.
i will now quite my bitching and complaining...
- Neuarmy0

niceeeeeeeeeeee......
cool wonder what happens with the gpu's and such if you have "overage"
- liquid0
It is now going to be more difficult getting clients to host on (mt) now that they are going to be $20 flat and not offer any other plans.
All my clients loved the sub-$10 a month they were paying.
I noticed that it said GS lite..... so is there any other plan? I have a SS advanced... I wonder how that effects me...
- myobie0
it sounds kinda nice in theory, it may actually be a better solution than the virtual dedicated i have now...
i will be looking into it, but the overage prices are not available yet

HOLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
- johndiggity0
so, is this the reason i received duplicates of over 800 emails i had on the server all at once this morning?
- liquid0
probably not. As you have to switch over before anything happens.
