You can embed now multimedia?
Does anybody uses PDF for more than simple documents? Do you think this is worth?
Just curious about its future.

The real question should be about embedding Flash. If Adobe can get that together, then they'd really have something. (video included)

I don't think it's much of a breakthrough.

In their "experience" section they don't specify if it is flash, or movies, or sound... it seems like some 3D model... and it saves the layers?

I know, it has been around forever, but I've never used for anything more than converting Annual Reports into PDF so you can download them from a website.
has somebody come up with some more creative uses?

All I use PDF's for are web delievered documents, interactive forms for offline and I actually have done several presentations on CD using nothing but linked PDFs that turned out well.
Beyond that, it is too much of a resource hog for what it does and files sizes are too big.

I've used Acrobat for Web clients.
I create jpegs and then do a transition and they are blown away by it
(mytbe 'cause they are so simple -ha)I've also used it for a resume and embedded a flash file (although that worked fine in the studio, but wouldn't come across when sent:something with Quicktime) so resorted to just a mouse over that worked fine.
Also use their "link to" a lot.
Its powerfull -but haven't had the time to really explore

of course microsoft has now made it their mission to kill pdf and replace it with their own xps format. should be fun and interesting.

I'm liking Acrobat 8 quite a bit. I make some pretty (I think) advanced interactive forms and some of the scripting-related features are improved. Or at the least less buggy.
