i think it is a wee bit dull. not classy.
IMHO!!!

that's cool...most of the branding for this company is going to be "dull"
it is more of the feel of "here it is" and that's it...no dressing it up...
we will see...any suggestions anyone, feedback, etc?
i like to hear opinions

I like the type, and I like the fact you went for a type only logo in teh end (you were critting this oon here a while ago, weren't you?) - but I think maybe the patterned graphic element to goo with the type could be something a bit more interesting. The idea for the special process is nice though.

I think if you use nice finishes as you mentioned, it will make the identity much stronger.

kelpie, yeah that is the final logo design - i think it was the best choice of what the client liked
i will be putting some more time in on this to see if i can make it more interesting, but the dullness is not necessarily a negative thing for this piece...
thanx for the comments, anyone else?

maybe shift every second line a bit, so instead of lines, there will be a zigzag?
maybe

i like it. With a nice finish on the text, it'll look smart.
good job.

elms, i will play with the ziggy zagy idea some, but i don't want it to seem fun at all
it's supposed to almost be pompous and arrogant...if that makes sense
is it pompous looking?
any other opinions?
- elms0
hehe, didnt mean "fun". just that then there would not be those 45 degrees "white lines" between "mancini's"
-------
is it pompous looking?
------it looks polite to me
:)

elms, i c
i will definitely be trying that out today.
also, darn, i was hoping it was a bit stale and pompous
any other comments or opinions?

agreed. needs some graphic elements or maybe a color...also possibly position the logo and header differently.
i like the simple logotype though.
- myobie0
i agree that the letter head needs some positioning work
i will look into what can be done to introduce a "graphic element" but i don't want to compromise the simplicity
thanx for the feedback, anyone else have any suggests or opinions?
- republik80
When printed that'll look very nice.
I don't neccessarily agree it needs any more colour, maybe work on positioning.
- myobie0
i had some discussion with the client and the logo is going to be positioned bottom left on both the bus card and the letterhead...
the bus card info will be the same, just reworked a bit and the letterhead info will go across the bottom
the front of the bus card my be flooded red with white type
any more opinions?
i will have the new design finished after lunch
