ok - so i'm redoing my site, all database driven and want to use safe urls. I'm with media temple(ss) and there's nothing on their knowledge base - how do i do it? do i just turn it on somewhere? I understand it in principle but not how to get it working! any help appreciated!

maybe look for a php framework that has routing built in
or just a routing framework alone
kinda like what rails has, but without all the other crap

just create the folder on the server and make sure the file is named index on every folder.
in other words, "www.abc.com/whatever/index.php" will translate to "www.abc.com/whatever/" on the browser
